OBOB short for Oregon Battle Of The Books, is a state wide compition. In each "battle" the teams are asked question from sixteen selected books. In the school each team participate in a section called the "Round Robin". These battles are for gathering points for the placement on the Elimination Bracket. In these battles the losing teem gets eliminated. The last standing team moves on to the Regionals. In this section it is the same. Point collecting, elimination then finals. You win a cup for this if you win. The winner there gets to go to the Sate compition. Around eighteen teams go to state. The same again. The winning team gets another cup and a plaque. (This years OBOB was cancelled because of coronavirus.)

The Space Owls were the winners of the Winterhaven OBOB finals for this year. They won against the
Reading Roses. The Reading Roses won the last two years. The scores for the finals where 40 to the Space Owls and 25 to the Reading Roses.
